Florida's Prescription Drug Database Activated

Today marks the launch of Florida's brand new prescription drug database, created in an attempt to thwart prescription drug abuse and deaths caused by prescription drug abuse. The database is also an effort to put "pill mills" out of business. "Records of purchases of everything from oxycodone to cough medicine with codeine now have to be tallied and sent to the state every seven days."
