Drug & Alcohol Testing

MSHA requesting quarry/mining personnel be randomly tested

Submitted on Jan 01, 2008

The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) has been performing inspections and citing regulation 30 CFR - 56.20001 "Intoxicating beverages and narcotics" as the written requirement necessary to perform random testing on quarry personnel. If you are not currently doing random testing on your quarry personnel be advised that MSHA is recomending doing so. MSHA says you are responsible to insure all quarry personnel are not under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol when on the job.
