The City of Victorville is located in San Bernardino County, is part of the North Inland Empire Region, was incorporated on September 21, 1962, as a general law city with a population of approximately 8,110 and an area of 9.7 square miles. As of February 28, 2007, the City's population was estimated to be 99,395 and the area was 74.16 square miles. These figures indicate the City has grown substantially in its history as a municipality. Prior to incorporation the community had a history which goes back over 100 years, when the first settlers of European descent arrived.
